GUTTERS & DOWNSPOUTS
Gutters and downspouts collect rainwater from the roof and move it away from the home and it’s foundation in order to protect it from water damage and overflow. The size of the gutter is determined by the amount of roof area you have to allow the rain to properly drain.
INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW:
If your gutters are not functioning properly it can lead to some pretty hefty damage around your homes exterior. You could get water backing up against the fascia boards and underneath your roofing shingles. It can even lead to damaging the soffit vents and even go as far as deteriorating and discoloring siding on your homes exterior. But by far the worst damage you could receive from an improperly functioning gutter system would be damage to your foundation especially if your home has a basement or crawl space. Malfunctioning gutters can lead to the soil being eroded away from the homes exterior and causing problems with the underlying foundation.
5-IN OR 6-IN K-STYLE GUTTER

5-inch wide K-style gutters are the industry standard for any residential dwelling, unless you have a bigger roof than usual, then a 6-inch gutter system would be required to handle the amount of water flow.
COPPER HALF ROUND GUTTER

Upgrade to a different gutter style with a copper or aluminum half-round gutter.
LeafX gutter guards allows water to flow inside the gutter while preventing leaves, branches and other debris from clogging your gutters and downspouts.
